I have not done many personal photography works in the past few months then I wanted to focus on. My job took over, I focused on that most of the time, but I have not forgotten to focus on my own work. Below are a few piece's of work I have taken in the last few months, all of them I was at a location for my job, and stopped to take these photos. I was photographing a golf tournament during the fall season, and I got these three colored trees in perfect alignment. Another time worked a photography job in Plymouth, but I had three hours where I walked around town and got a few photos in the evening. I did go to a forest photography workshop in Vermont early morning the beginning of October, I ended up losing those photos after the trip. After all this I'm going to begin planning some trip's and wander around looking for photo's to take. So, i have not disappeared from my website! Look out for my photography post again!

Photo's taken in Ogunquit and York, Maine. August 8th and 9th 2022. The First weekend in April, I explored several different parts of Boston, MA. The Whaling City Camera Club had an upcoming Photojournalism competition and I needed new content to enter. I started in Faneuil Hall, where street vendors are making balloon animals and performers entertaining the crowd. I captured the right moment of a guy looking at me through the colorful balloons, he looked like he was enjoying the day selling balloon hats. I then walked to the Boston Common, Boston market, and the north end. At the Boston market, surrounded by many people selling products and customers trying to find the perfect price, I noticed a fish market hidden beneath people walking. While hopping into a different shop at North End, one of my favorite photographs I took was of a young woman posed in an Italian bakery/shop. The lighting, the colors, and the moment made me stop to take this photo. After this trip, I'm planning more walks around Boston to work on my photojournalism work and to find the moment in the crowds. After a few months, I have been focusing on some photography ideas and waiting until the warmer weather comes back to New England, I am back to updating my website! During the last few months, I have been busy photographing candid photos at conferences, capturing a high school ice hockey team winning the state championship at TD Garden in Boston, and a variety of school dances that are coming back after covid hit the last two years. With warmer weather around the corner, I decided to visit some places on my bucket list to capture portraits, photojournalism, and some people photography. Portraits and photojournalism are two areas of photography that I have been enjoying and perfecting for the last four years since I graduated. I will still take photos in other areas of photography, but my goal is to capture people at the moment or portraits that those people enjoy.
The First winter storm of 2022 called Winter Storm Kenan, struck New England with 18 to 24 inches of snow. The next day, while everyone was busy shoveling out their covered car, I walked down to the Charles River. There was an ice fisherman taking advantage of the frozen cover river, spending the day searching for fish. Here are a few photos I took while down at the river. Taken October 2021: This series is called Night Walk Down Pittsfield. I have always wanted to try photographing portraits around a city during the night. The city lights at night inspired me to look around town and find the best spots to photograph my friends. Some of them I posed, but when they got used to the idea of being photographed they opened up and my best photo of that night showed up. The first photo of this series is my friend Nick R. who fell into the pose with this entryway lighting. I keep the photo dark on purpose to make the mood of the photo stand out more for the viewer. |
